How would you describe your culinary style?
I like to borrow influence from my travels and everyday life and see how i can apply to fresh produce from the markets. Living in Asia, i do have access and tend to migrate towards local spices and flavours, however i love European techniques and styles.
What is the main source of inspiration for your recipes?
Life in general. you can never expect anything in the world and its the same with food, every ingredient will and can change and that’s what makes it so fun to cook. We get to continuously adapt ourselves to our produce.
If you could have one food while stranded on a desert island, what would it be?
Butter. I wouldn’t last long but at least i’d die happy.
For someone new to your blog, which recipe do you recommend they try first?
They should try my Oeuf (eggs) en Cocotte with Mushrooms, Spinach and Smoked Chicken Breast. Its such a great dish that people can really have fun with and add their own twists to. I also quite like this recipe for Healthier Fish and Chips.
What is your ultimate guilty food pleasure?
It has to be ice cream. There is just something about rich, creamy, buttery dairy that hits the spot for me. Add in chunks of cookies and delicate vanilla bean and i’m sold.
Yummy is a great place where people with a passion for food can interact and come together. It brings recipes all over the world to your fingertips.
