How would you describe your culinary style?
I am not afraid of food – be it pastry, fussy and French, or a recipe using unusual ingredients. My philosophy is – It’s Food. What’s the worst that can happen? I can always find something else to eat if it fails.
What is the main source of inspiration for your recipes?
I get a lot of my inspiration from other food bloggers, and especially from Pinterest. A photo is worth a thousand words, and if it makes me salivate, you can bet I’m going to make it!
If you could have one food while stranded on a desert island, what would it be?
That’s a toughie. Mac and Cheese? But not anything fancy – I’ll take the Velveeta Shells and Cheese, thanks. Who knows how long I’ll be stranded?
For someone new to your blog, which recipe do you recommend they try first?
I’m pretty proud of my collection of popover recipes. I’ve done everything from gingerbread to apple pie popovers, but the standard recipe is a no fail, easy and delicious introduction to my site.
What is your ultimate guilty food pleasure?
Cheesecake. It’s time consuming, but that makes it taste so much sweeter.
Yummly is that food you can’t keep your fingers out of. It starts with a lickable batter, and ends with a trip to the fridge at midnight for one more taste.
